Do You Get Confused About What Marketing Tools To Use?

I have been in the real estate business for more then 30 years and it isn't easy to make money in this business because a lot of it goes into marketing.  Most buyers and sellers think that we make too much money but that isn't always true . When you first get started in this business you have to advertise to get buyers and sellers and knowing where to advertise is very tricky.

It has been one of my life passions to help real estate agents be successful and it seems to get harder everyday because there are so many options out there.

I use to spend close to $100,000+ a year on print advertising...I got famous but didn't get enough busines to pay for the advertising.  Then I started advertising on the Internet and that brought me more business for a lot less money. I started a long time ago on the Internet because I guess I am kind of an Internet Geek.

Now because there is so much competition for real estate on the Internet it is becoming increasingly difficult to effectively attract the buyers and sellers without paying a fortune. But I won't give up. I study every email I get that offers special programs to help us get more Internet business and believe me that takes more then 5 hours a day to get through all the spams and  scams. There are a lot of scams and spams out there!

I have lost a lot of money signing up for lists that promise a lot of buyers and seller leads and don't produce a thing but waste my money.

Since I love to help all of us I created http://americasbestmarketingtools.com  and I update it all the time whenever I find a new sucessful marketing tool that works.

Sometimes I will also put up a few websites that will help us make residual income and these days we all need that.  In 2005 I made close to $500,000 selling real estate and this year I will be lucky to make $100,000 and I am working twice as hard  and twice as long to get the same results.

I have found if I help others be successful it makes me happy.  They say you win in life by helping others and that has been so true in my life.

Life hasn't always been easy for me so a lot of my time and profit goes to help children and abused women because I was abused and spent a long time in an orphanage but I don't want to go into that because I am so blessed now.

All I want to do is help others and if I can help you be more successful it will make me happy so go to www.americasbestmarketingtools.com and let me know what you think and if you have any marketing tools that you think will help real estate agents let me know and I will put them on that website too.

Pictures On Your Business Card...How Important Are They?

I was always told to put my picture on my business card because a card with a picture on it is harder to throw away.  Also it makes your customer remember you because they can see your face. I think a business card is a commercial about you and your services and you want to make sure you have a great business card to make a great impression...remember you only get one chance to make a great impression and if it doesn't work you lost out.

I see business cards with no picture or a picture of a dog or with lots of other crazy things so I was just wondering what do you think? What should your business card have on it?

Retire Later, Buy The House Now

This makes great sense to me...share it with all your buyers and baby boomers.

RETIRE LATER, BUY THE HOUSE NOW

With prices in many areas at a low ebb, baby boomers should consider buying their retirement home now, even if they're still years away from actually moving, allowing renters to pay the bills for nową„¤ Here's some advice for people considering this strategy:• Shop carefully. Buy a home that can be rented for a rate that, after tax considerations, covers the mortgage, real estate taxes and insurance. • Study housing trends. Ask the local or state planning department for demographic and economic data. The information can reveal facts that will influence whether or not to buy. For example, big companies going out of business or military base closings can be bad news. • Don't forget maintenance. Property managers usually charge a percentage of the monthly rent. Family members may do the job for free but could be ill equipped to make repairs. • Consider financing. Boomers with sufficient equity in their current home can tap it to either buy their retirement home outright or secure a much lower mortgage rate compared to the loan rate usually charged to buyers of investment property.Source: The Washington Post, Belly L.
